Asparagus {Shana}

Well, I started my Saturday slow and leisurely, then I realized I haven't posted or even have a photo to post! So you can imagine my panic as I am running around the house trying to find this color. So I recruited my husband (which didn't last long) helped me find these candy jars in the kitchen. I can't tell you how many times these little jars a visited a day, they are a big part of our daily lives. Peanut M&Ms, regular M&Ms and the last jar changes from Reese's pieces and skittles.  Can you tell which one is our favorites?!

What is your favorite candy?

I am so sorry this is late!  We are traveling and internet has been an issue!
Having friends come to visit us has been a remarkable thing.  Especially now that we are more
 able to communicate, get around and just generally know what we are doing!

 The above image is taken in the Basilica Cistern in SultanAhmet.  This is the old part of the city.
  I am not sure exactly of the history here but it is my understanding that this cistern was and is fed by a aqueduct that is still standing in Istanbul.  (Not restored) There are two Medusa heads at the end of the
 walkway of the cistern.  Supposedly these stones were taken from a ruin close by and used to support two of the columns in the vast space of many columns.  There was no respect paid to the likenesses because one is upside down completely and this one, as you can see, is on it's side.  I shot this in
 a dark atmosphere. I was braced on a small fence post.

 This photograph is one of many I took while we were at a ruin called Hierapolis.  This is one
 of the many ancient cities here in Turkey that fell into ruin after an earthquake or in this case many.
 This the city where Philip was martyred.   I really can't believe that they can find and piece
 back together so much of these historic cities.

This is another photo I took this week.  We were at the fallen city of Philadelphia.   Excavation here is continuing in a nearby area.  Hopefully more can be learned about this city.  There truly
 is very little left of this city, however the gardens surrounding it are bountiful with fruit.
I had never seen "Baby Grapes" and couldn't resist.

I am editing photographs from this trip to post soon.  Keep posting your cerulean photos;  I am really loving all your hard work.  The creativity that you all have really amazes me!  I am reading a really nice book about creativity called "If You Want to Write" by Brenda Ueland.  I know from the title that it sounds limiting but it's about creativity and knowing the power of it and incorporating it into your everyday experience.  Besides she is a delightful read.

Killing Two Birds With One Stone ( Natalie )

Wow! This has been a busy couple of weeks! My family and I made a surprise trip to Oklahoma last week. I had planned on posting my picture but then realized we don't have Internet at the house. So I came down to the local coffee shop. This is my Asparagus picture :) I think the picture says it all! I love Veggie Tales ( yes I know I'm a little old ) but in my opinion you can never be too old for Veggie Tales! Here's my pic from last weeks color.

Asparagus-----Jeana

Oh my, yesterday just flat got away from me!!

I have been out of town photographing a Homeschool graduation of a friend and just really didn't even know what day it was!!! It was a great time getting to visit old friends though!

And it just so happens that her gown color I believe matches this weeks color....what luck!!!
There were only three girls in the graduation and they did a very cute ending....They danced out to "All the Single Ladies"!
She is also a VERY talented young lady. She has played the fiddle and sang since she was about 3 years old. She has already composed several songs, one of which was recorded and is now on itunes and she has received a full ride scholarship to OCU. I am very proud of her!
See ya next week fellow photogs!!!

Asparagus {Kendall}

The last week has gone by in a flash!  I couldn't believe it was already Tuesday again.  My photos are of my sweet little t-ball player.  I actually dislike the color of his uniform, but it works for the color this week!  His coach apparently has an affinity for this color of green because he coaches a soccer team and I did their team pictures and they were the same color.  Blah!

I love this second one because he is wearing his sunglasses.  They are meant for serious ball players only!  And he wore them the entire game and in the team picture too.  It's hilarious.

I hope you all have fun searching for your asparagus.  I am enjoying the cerulean photos.  Do you pronounce that sir-u-leen?  Just curious since I am pretty sure I have NEVER heard anyone say that!

Have a fantabulous week,
Kendall

Week 20 Color Reveal {Brooke}

Hey guys, how are you all doing? I was so busy editing photos from my sessions this weekend that I almost forgot that it was Monday...well now it's officially Tuesday, but I have your color reveal!

Last week I had taken a ton of photos for this weeks color thinking that it was last weeks color. I had set them aside and planned to use them for this week, but while I was driving this weekend back and forth between the studio and home I couldn't help but notice the beautiful world we live in! Big fluffy clouds, bright blue skies, lush green grass! How could one not feel blessed or be in awe! So what else was I to do but pull over and capture it the best I could! It just so happens that watching the world transition from brown to green is one of my favorite things about late spring, so even though you get lots of blue and white in my photo, I just love the lush green grass which reminds me of this week's color, asparagus!

Have a blessed week! Also don't forget to come back on Sunday to link up your asparagus photos!!!
