Goldenrod (Shana)

It was kind of nice having a little break from P64 project. It was so fun having guests posts!

The last week I haven't been feeling well so I sat around and worked on puzzles.

Our whole family loves to put puzzles together. I can remember as a kid my parents, aunt and uncle and grandparents would star a puzzle on christmas eve then wouldn't stop till they were done.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Happy hunting!

Goldenrod { Sheryl }

I love this color!  I really can't wear yellow but it does provide a lot impact in a photograph!  The following photos were part of an assignment using "the rule of nines" -- positioning the object in a grid of nine squares.
 These are some weeds near my house -- I love what you will find on a photo walk!
 The balloon ride I went on in June was spectacular for shooting a lot and getting to experiment.
I thought they only had wagon wheel in the "Ol' West" --

I am so glad to be back in the "saddle"!  Thanks everyone for a tremendous week of new inspiration along with wonderful stories of how this project has impacted you.  Please take a moment to tell me what you have learned from your experience linking with our group -- I really would love to hear from you.

If you are interested in more photos of Biblical Turkey, check out my blog thealteredpassport@blogspot.com

Thanks for sharing (in advance) -- thanks for stopping by -- Sheryl

Goldenrod { Natalie }

I love bright cheerful colors so Goldenrod was right up my alley. There were several objects around my neighborhood the right color so here are just a few I found :) Have a great weekend!

Goldenrod--Jeana

These are my great nieces! Obviously the little one had been crying because she did NOT want her picture taken at this time! Big sister was "concerned" about her (not really) and I could not get them to both look at the camera! Later on they were both being silly girls and I did get a few shots of them! I love this one though because of the big ole tears in Emmas eyes and how Liz is looking at her!

We are enjoying seeing all your color finds....keep it up!

Goldenrod {Kendall}

Hello P64ers!  It's good to be back!  Thank you to all of our guest bloggers.  It was fun to have some different peeps fill in last week.

So this week is Goldenrod.  Looks a lot like yellow to me!

Summer is in full swing here.  No school, sleeping in, going to the lake, and playing outside.  Today, my boys and my husband went outside and painted a few canvases.  It just so happened that my oldest son's canvas has the perfect color of Goldenrod!

I really love this painting because I love splatters and abstract and anything my baby boys make.  This will go in their 'Man Cave'.

Last week we took a little three day mini-vacation and had a great time.  We went to this cool little pop shop on our way home.  They had all sorts of different soda.  I got some cool shots and this photo, even though it's orange soda, looks like Goldenrod on the top too.

I hope you all have a great week and have fun hunting for Goldenrod.  I love when colors show up in our every day lives when we least expect it!

Here Goes Another 4 Weeks, Color Reveal {Brooke}

Can you believe we are starting in on week 25 and we are starting another round of 4 weekly favorites!? It is crazy how fast we are flying through our crayon boxes, it is not much longer and we will find ourselves in the middle of our box, two little sleeves down and two more to go...but for now we are on week 25 and we are ready for another color! I have a feeling you all are going to have a great time with our next four colors, when my hubby pulled them out of the box they immediately screamed SUMMER and all together looked much like a handful of popsicles, yum! I bet you can't wait to see what is in store, but today you only get to see one, the rest will have to wait!

I was soooo excited to finally get a shade of yellow this week! I am in love with yellow and I found plenty of it in my search for the perfect picture!

On our way home from running errands we passed over the big bridge and boats were out, so I we took a short detour and I drove down to the water so the boys could watch them for a little bit...

Then there is my little garage sale find that is being purposed as decor in my kitchen...

Then of course my little bug-a-boo's doing what they do, picking flowers and playing with rocks and yes, I do dress them alike...

Then there is my favorite birthday gift that came in last week, the gift is not goldenrod, but some of the lettering on a card that was in one of the pockets is...and of course I had to have a reason to share my wonderful gift my hubby got for me!

But, one of my faves is a quick snapshot I captured of my little one (wearing shirt with just the right shade of yellow) playing with an antique camera given to me for my birthday by my husband's grandparents (it even once belonged to his great grandma, even more special)...

I hope your week is filled with goldenrod, mine sure was!
