This week has been crazy trying to get everything done before Josh and I head back to Turkey.

Lavender {Sheryl}

Yesterday we went to Emminunu(?), it's the area next to and around the spice bazaar.  I am just discovering the treasures that can be found there.  I can't wait to spend some time there when it is not raining!  I did a blog post thealteredpassport.blogspot.com about our day.  I bought some Swarovski Crystals in lavender.  Who ever wins the link for lavender will receive these beautiful beads.  I can't wait to see your posts!

Don't forget to link up your INDIGO photographs.  I sure hope everyone is having as much fun as I am!  I am loving how I have begun to think differently about color and the opportunities for the creativity involved with it -- Thanks for coming by and supporting us.  You are the icing (I love icing) on this project!  I can't wait to see your links!  God bless!  Sheryl

Lavender (Jeana)

Last Saturday, my daughter Jamie was the local coordinator at Winter Jam 2011 in Tulsa. For those of you that may not be familiar with Winter Jam it is a yearly Christian concert at the BOK center. It is huge because it is $10 General Admission and there are like 10 bands that perform. So anyway, she got me a press pass and I got to stand right at the stage all night taking pictures....it was LOUD but amazingly fun and I so enjoyed getting to watch Jamie do what she believes she has been called to do!
I got home and was going through my pictures and this one jumped right out at me screaming Lavender! It is slightly darker than it should be but I think there are still glimpses of lavender!

Keep adding your pics and linking up with us....We are so enjoying looking at your pics and hope you enjoy ours as well!

Lavender {Kendall}

You are very sleepy.  Very, very sleepy.  So sleepy that you think today is still Tuesday and I posted on the correct day!  I guess I was very, very sleep yesterday because I thought it was Monday all day.  So I woke up startled when I realized today was Wednesday and I hadn't posted yet!  Ahhhhh!

Here is my lavender.  It used to be my FAVORITE color when I was a little girl so you can imagine the horror when I came home from church camp one year and my room was painted pepto bismol pink!  Ok, that's a story for another time...

Those of you who know me, are not surprised that I would have something like this, that says Queen!  I am the queen.  I was the queen long before I was the queen of my house!  Ask my parents.  Now I am the queen by default because there is no one at home to take my title.  If that were to happen, I am not sure how I would handle being de-throned!

I am L-O-V-I-N-G all of you totally fabulous submissions.  Keep them coming!

Have a great Tuesday Wednesday.

Week 8, Color Reveal {Brooke}

I am loving you Indigo photos they are all looking great and I've noticed that some of you have been playing with angles and different perspectives too! I'm going to keep this post short and sweet, my hubby is off today and the boys and I are going to go hang out with our man!

This week's color is Lavender!

This week I thought it would be fun to focus on filling the frame as much as possible, so if you want an added challenge, give it a try. Here is my take on Lavender...

I found these roses at the grocery store and in real life they are spot on to the crayon and the way it colors on paper, however I think I had my camera set to vivid and it brought out a lot of pink, but you can see the lavender in the lighter parts of the rose.

Happy color hunting!

Indigo {Linkup}

I hope you all have had a great week! Each week I am so amazed by your color finds and how creative you  all are! I would of never imagined that of all colors apricot would be so prevalent or be found in such beautiful things, like beautiful sunsets, loving pets, and everyday things. Some of you even managed find apricot hiding in the season of love and some of you found apricot hiding in good memories! Who knew a color we seem to forget about or turn our noses up to could actually be beautiful!

Our favorite this week comes from the photostream of Tammy Lee Bradley....

project 64

Thank you Tammy for linking up with us every week! We love your still life of apricot, the flower, the book, it all works so well! Congrats!

Make sure you head on over and give Tammy some love!

So, how did the hunt for Indigo go? Did you get stumped by this elusive shade of blue? How many of you finally broke down and bought a box of 64 count crayons? Did you accept the added challenge and try new angles and perspectives?

We are so excited to see your beautiful photos for Indigo and we are ready for the challenge of picking  a favorite! The linky tool has worked out most of the issues they were having last week, but he is still working on a few things and said the linky might be a little slow, but you all should still be able to linkup and add your photos!

As always no fancy camera required and Flickr link-ups welcome!When you link up please use the DIRECT LINK/POST containing your photo, if posting multiple pictures designate the one you are submitting and be sure to link back to us!
