Sea Green

Well, this morning I had a great idea for the shot I wanted to achieve but my husband woke up with the crazy idea of going
garage selling! If any of you know my husband you would know that this is totally out of character. I on the other hand loves this early morning hunt. So here is my little find.

So happy hunting this beautiful hunting!

Sea Green -- How hard was this? ( Sheryl )

I am so in unbelief how hard this was!  I really feel blessed to how easy it has been until now --
I had to create a sample to know exactly what color I was looking for --
I went on a tour of the Bosporus with my friend Joan -- while passing this old wooden structure (which is protected by some kind of court order here in Turkey)  she was saying "Get a picture of that, it will be one of your colors, soon!"  I do just love how everyone in my life has become part of this project!  This house is one of very few wooden structures still remaining in Istanbul and it is right on the waters edge.  I was relieved it worked for this color.  (It didn't match exactly but I thought it was close enough) Thanks Joan for your encouragement -- you are so special!
This week I have had to re-organize my removable hard drive -- actually remove everything from it and get a new one.  (How sad it is when something you depend on starts to make noises like it going to fail you --)  I found this picture of the bikini's hanging at the local bazaar.  I shot this in passing for another color but didn't use it -- I couldn't believe it when it fit this week perfect!

I would love to know what you think -- please leave a commit -- Please?  I check everyday and just love it when I hear from you!  (I am so far away, ya know?) Thanks for stopping by -- Sheryl

Oh P.S. -- I am loving the RED shots you are posting!  Making it very hard on use to choose!

Sea "of" Green

Well I must apologize for missing my day yesterday....I have been on vacation in Wyoming and was traveling back to Denver yesterday.  I have had an amazing time touring Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. I thought I would have no problem finding the color for this week, however, I found every shade of green except sea green!! I even had my husband looking! So I decided to just post a few pictures that had a Sea OF Green!! I hope you enjoy!
This is the Grand Teton Mountains....the most beautiful moutains I have ever seen!
Here are a couple more shots just to try to let you see what beauty I have seen the past few days...

Have a great week!
Jeana

Sea Green {Natalie}

Hey everyone! Did you have a good holiday? We have cousins visiting right now and it's been great! When I saw the color was Sea Green I thought My sea glass necklace would be perfect! Sea glass is glass found on beaches along oceans, bays, rivers, or large lakes that has been tumbled and smoothed by the waves, water and sand, creating smooth glass. I love this piece! It was the first thing I purchased when we moved here. Have a great weekend!

See Green {Kendall}

Hello friends!  How was your holiday?  Any big events?  We played it pretty low-key this weekend which was nice!  I love being able to do things at our own pace instead of rushing around to be at 3 places at the same time!  My boys had a great time doing fireworks, we just wish it had been a little cooler here!  When it's still 90 degrees at night, it's too dang hot!

So, I completed my whole post just thinking the color was plain 'ol green.  Then I get to the bottom of my post and am about to publish when I realize the color is SEA green.  Hello, Kendall!  So, I decided to change my color to See Green.  You know, like I SEE GREEN everywhere I go. It's late and I don't want to redo pictures!

Anyway, here are my submissions for my imaginary color of the week.  When we went on our mini-vacation, we visited the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial.  I had been to the memorial before at various times, but this was the first time to take the boys and to visit the museum.  If you are ever in the Oklahoma City area, I recommend that you visit.  It is an emotional visit, but is well worth the tears.

This tree is called the Survivor Tree.  It was damaged by the bombing, but still stands today.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and enjoy finding this week's REAL color!

Week 27 Color Reveal {Brooke}

All those fourth of July festivities made this run a little late, sorry! I knew what I wanted to capture for this weeks color last week when I posted RED, but I just didn't get around to getting my item for my color until yesterday afternoon, but I love it for my color find and it was pretty yummy! I didn't have my computer and editing software with me so I used picnik to add my watermark and give it a little color boost. Can't wait to see what you all find for this shade of green!

How is everyone's fourth of July weekend going so far??? I hope you all are having a great time and getting much needed time with friends and family! This week you all voted on your favorite weekly winner from weeks 21-24 and the results are in! You all picked the lovely olive green image submitted by Carmen at Moments Captured!

Well, last week we started another month of colors and today we have a weekly favorite from the goldenrod submissions to kick off weeks 25-28! The weekly favorite comes from Danelle at I Take Pictures, we LOVED your beautiful take on goldenrod!

This week you all were on the hunt for RED and I am pretty sure there was no problem finding this color as it seemed to be everywhere, even without the current holiday festivities RED seems to be a big part of our daily lives! I can't wait to see what you came up with and how you chose to portray it!
