White Linkup {week 9} and Vote

Well, lavender that was in our box of crayons was not soft dusty purple color that comes to mind when the word lavender is uttered. However, it didn't seem to hold you all back at all! Once again some amazing pictures!!!

This week's favorite comes from The Wandering Rotters, we thought it was a very unique take on lavender and very outside of the box! It also has that pinkish purple quality that our lavender from the box has. Congratulations!

This week we also had a catch up day for the newbies to Project 64 who wanted to go back and do the past colors. We also had some who have been with Project 64 from the beginning share their work in review, so if you have time be sure to visit everyone's links...I will keep the catch up day link open for a few more weeks, so if you are new and want to go back and show us your interpretations for our past colors feel free to link up your collection there! It is also ok to just join us on whatever color we are on, its not required to start from the beginning, we are happy to have play along every week, every two weeks or just once, so be sure to spread the word and have fun!!!

White Way Up High {Shana}

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do for white since I  have been in the process of traveling this week. No matter how many times I fly (which is a lot) I still marvel at the idea of flight. As we take off I can't keep my eyes off the window watching the land get smaller and smaller. As I am watching out the window my white hit me, I am still shocked that my iPhone took these shots.

A little side note: I came back to Turkey to find out that they have banned blogger for someone posting unauthorized information. So Brooke has offered to help me post and see your linkys. Thank you Brooke for your extra work to help me stay apart of P64!

Happy hunting!
Shana

P.S. Don't forget tomorrow is not only the linkup for your lovely white photo, but every also gets a chance to vote for their favorite weekly winner from weeks 5-8!! The polls will be open Sunday through Wednesday at midnight so be sure to vote!!! Thank you to Cat from No Wooden Spoons for sponsoring the giveaway! The lucky winner will win a  gift certificate to her etsy shop!!! She has some beautiful and fun pieces so you need to go check it out!

White in Motion {Sheryl}

We headed home to the United States of America (I love saying the whole thing out loud) a week ago.  I have not had internet very much in that time span.
While coming home.  We stopped in Lucerne, Switzerland.  This is a beautiful city on the shore of Lake Lucerne.  (Luzern) This was a real planes, trains and automobiles experience.  It was gloomy and rainy the whole time we where there except for a about an hour.  God opened the sky and let the sun shine in -- I can't decide which I like best so I am going to show several.
Don't forget to link your photos -- we just love seeing them!

Please pray that Turkey will un-ban Blogger soon -- I can see where being ban could get in the way of my fun!  Don't forget that you can catch up -- Thanks for coming by -- Sheryl

White { Natalie }

I like to do more "out of the box " type pictures. So I decided to use mini marshmallow's and make this: It was very time consuming but fun at the same time. This week I also changed my Photography name. There are a ton of Beacon Photography's but only one "The Lime Lens" :) Enjoy your weekend and have fun coloring!

White!! (Jeana)

Well, I guess Austin can stay around a bit longer, White wasn't as bad as some of them in the past few weeks!!!

When I glanced around at the many white things I have, I didn't realize I had that many white things!! Unlike Kendall, all my dirty paw children have grown and gone, much too soon I might add! BUT.....I have dirty grimy little grandchildren here now...well I only have one at the time but I anticipate many more!! So I just had to share my special gift from him at 3 months old....

All you mommies with things that are no longer white because of precious dirty hands, remember all too soon these little hands are grown up big hands! And remember....
"A Mother holds her children's hands a little while, but holds their hearts forever!"

And speaking of children growing up......I didn't take these pictures this week so I didn't want to submit them as my weekly post, but I have been waiting patiently to show off pics of my newest daughter-in-law!  I took these back in January at my studio and had a wonderful time with her.

Keep your links coming....we are thrilled to have you be apart of our color world!!

There's No White Here! {Kendall}

Come to my house and you will find very little white.  If it began white, it is no more.  See, I have two boys (4 & 8) and a husband.  This means white doesn't last long!  I avoid buying anything white because I hate when it is no longer white, but dingy off white, or worse, blue because someone stained it with their blue drink.

As I went through my head trying to think of something white, my life took over, and I thought of all the running we have to look forward to for the next few months.  It is officially baseball season here.  And I had my white!

I love baseball.  If you had asked me 10 years ago (pre-children) if I would love baseball, I would have answered no without hesitation.  But I have boys and even though I imagined myself as the mom of girls doing girly things, these sweet boys took over my life and now I am a baseball mom.  I cried the first time Kyler hit a homerun and people in the next town could probably hear me yelling.  So I am not the girl mom I thought I would be, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Don't forget you can still catch up with us!  Go here and add your link showing us all of your colors so far.

On Sunday, YOU will be voting for the monthly winner.  We have had some really great entries so I know the decision won't be easy!  The sponsor of this month's contest is Cat at No Wooden Spoons!  Be sure to visit Cat and leave her some love.

Week 9, Color Reveal {Brooke}

I haven't had a chance to comment on any one's linkups, but I've been by to visit most of them and so far I am loving all your photos. You all are so creative and I enjoy seeing where you find the color of the week! I am also glad to have so many new participants coloring with us!

There has been some questions on how you join up with Project64, it's pretty simple, just watch for the weekly linkups (they start on Sundays and close on Saturdays) and link up your take on the week's color prompt, which is revealed on Mondays. If you feel you must go back and complete the past colors head on over to this post for details on linking up your color review.

So, it is Monday and that means it is time to pull another crayon out of our box and get to coloring! I personally like this week's color and was excited when my hubby pulled it out of the box; I immediately had ideas running through my head! Want to know this week's color????

White! It's not really a "color", more so void of color and typically an accent or neutral to a more dominate color. So this week should be fun, finding ways to make white the dominate color and the star of your photo is sure to be a challenge, but have fun with it!

This week I decided to go white on white, since it is one of my favorite things to do! So, naturally I thought it would be a good idea for the added challenge this week! Now, my photos are not completely white on white, the flower and angles I chose to use didn't leave much room for cropping out the green, but you get the idea.  For my white background, I just use white foam board that I found at my local craft store. I have a few post on my personal blog that give tutorials and pull backs on how I utilize foam board, here and here...you can easily use poster board as well. Also, you can see another example of white on white that I took before Project64 started over on my blog.

This last photo is a little closer to a true white on white, hope you guys have fun hunting for white!

Happy Coloring!
Brooke
