So, I grabbed my camera started capturing our game! I quickly had to dig out the flash since the little hands attempting the break the ice moved way too fast for my camera to capture them in such low light. Not to mention, that little guy didn't spend much time on top of the ice since my boys felt the object of the game was to break the ice as fast as they could.
Well, I had hopes of capturing something grand and striking with such a bold color as my muse, however I almost resorted to dusting off an oldie until I decided to slow down and enjoy my everyday and the color found me! One of the reason's I started this project in the first place was to slow down and take notice of the world around me through color and that world includes theses moments of laughter in my every day.
So although I hope some of you get amazing striking captures of this bold color, my added challenge to you, especially those who need to slow down and take a break from work, is to find the bold color in something more monotonous and every day. Too often we forget those ordinary days are what make life great!
Good luck hunting this week's color...the bold orangey red SCARLET
Happy color hunting,
Brooke
p.s. I am going to try something a little different with our color prompt pictures with our next set of four colors (starting with week 13), so hopefully it works!
Scarlet, such a daring and bold color! Hhhhmmm where shall I find it. Btw, your companion photo really matches the color...cool!
ReplyDeleteI am jumping up and down with excitement! I was hoping this week's color would be a bold one! I have several ideas already!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited for scarlet...but I really envisioned a beautiful red. I was surprised it wasn't as dark or as red as I thought! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteP.S. We have Break the Ice, and our skater is blue. Weird. I have to say, that game is gathering dust because my 4 year old uses those hammers as weapons, and is no good at taking turns. He's an only child, so I HAVE to play with him...I like calmer activities, like puzzles. ;P
ReplyDeleteWhere are you scarlet? :)

Finding the color in our everyday...love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the time to slow down with your sweet boys Brooke.
Now to look for bold scarlet!
Thanks for the extra challenge.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly what I am trying to do.
Slow down and pay attention to the details that I take for granted in everyday life.
Really enjoyed your scarlet photos!
