Wisteria {Kendall}

Hello P64ers!  How is your search going for this week's color?  I am loving the Mac n' Cheese entries.

Here is my entry:

I got some fun little triptychs so I thought I would try one out.  I kind of like it.

Since it's summer and I am hoping some of you are leading a more leisure-like life, are you reading any good books?  I am always looking for something new.  I like random books... Water for Elephants, The Millenium Series, and Jodi Piccoult books.  I am currently reading A Stolen Life: A Memoir by Jaycee Dugard.  It is intense, painful, and fascinating.  It is so crazy that this outlandish story is actually true.  Jaycee Dugard is a survivor.  I am amazed by the grace she has shown.  I am halfway through the book and the one thing I can say to everyone, and I know you will agree, is you never know when you walk out the door if that will be the last time you say goodbye to your children, your spouse, your friend.  Be sure to let them know you love them.  Jaycee's mom left without kissing her goodbye on the morning of her abduction.  That moment was painful for each of them through the years she was missing. I am using that as a reminder to let my friends and family know that I love them.

Ok, that's enough of that!  If you have any book suggestions, send them my way.  I love to read and I am making myself take time to do it.

Happy Snapping!
Kendall

  1. Okay, what kind of flower is that? I love the triptych!

    I do love you, more than you will ever know! To be far away really does bring that into focus --

    I have been reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" I really can't believe how good it is!

  2. I was hoping someone else would know what kind of flower it was! I only know what flowers are if they have sign next to them! Ha ha!

    Love you too!

  3. I love the shape of the
    triptych of the lovely flower! It looks like the Philippine violet, but I'm not sure because the photo didn't show a close-up of the leaves.

    I'm reading Anne Perry's "No Graves as Yet." It's the first book of a series about WWI. It's holding my interest to the point, that even when my eyes are ready for sleep, I don't want to put it down.

  4. Love the post, Kendall! I think those are clematis...do they grow in a wall or fence and climb? If so that's a clematis!

    Sheryl, I LOVE the count of Monte Cristo....Kendall have you read The Help? Or House it's a Christian thriller, it is pretty good.

  5. Gorgeous flowers! They look like clematis to me as well.

    I've read three great books this summer: Room, Caleb's Crossing, and State of Wonder. All totally different, but well-written and compelling.
