There's No White Here! {Kendall}

Come to my house and you will find very little white.  If it began white, it is no more.  See, I have two boys (4 & 8) and a husband.  This means white doesn't last long!  I avoid buying anything white because I hate when it is no longer white, but dingy off white, or worse, blue because someone stained it with their blue drink.

As I went through my head trying to think of something white, my life took over, and I thought of all the running we have to look forward to for the next few months.  It is officially baseball season here.  And I had my white!

I love baseball.  If you had asked me 10 years ago (pre-children) if I would love baseball, I would have answered no without hesitation.  But I have boys and even though I imagined myself as the mom of girls doing girly things, these sweet boys took over my life and now I am a baseball mom.  I cried the first time Kyler hit a homerun and people in the next town could probably hear me yelling.  So I am not the girl mom I thought I would be, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Don't forget you can still catch up with us!  Go here and add your link showing us all of your colors so far.

On Sunday, YOU will be voting for the monthly winner.  We have had some really great entries so I know the decision won't be easy!  The sponsor of this month's contest is Cat at No Wooden Spoons!  Be sure to visit Cat and leave her some love.

  1. Oh, the days of baseball! Our two oldest boys played baseball, first as Cub Scouts. Summer was spent either taking them to practice or games. It was something my husband and I enjoyed doing together. Our little girl played softball from grade school to young adulthood.
    Enjoy! It roars past so fast!

  2. I just love this shot, it speaks volumes and is such an interesting interpretation of white! So lovely to be able to incorporate our lives and interests into our prompts. Perfect!

  3. Great subject for white....I'm looking forward to this (absence of) color.

  4. Your comment about not having much white made me giggle. I found your juxtaposition between the white of the baseball and the "dirtiness of boys" amusing. Great selection for a house full of testosterone. :-)
